Evening Tour of Stonehenge from Bath

This small-group tour gives you a unique chance to watch the inner circles of Stonehenge while the sun goes down and the monument is closed to the public. You will also visit Avebury as well as Lacock National Trust Village. This is a truly memorable experience!

The first stop of the tour is at the Avebury Stone Circles, a lesser-known megalithic monument which is 16 times larger in area than Stonehenge and nearly 1000 years older. The pretty village has developed in the centre of the stone circles with many thatched cottages. The next stop is Stonehenge, where you will arrive when the crowds are gone, and the sun is setting. During the drive to Stonehenge, there is plenty of information for you to browse through as well as an audio presentation. Next up is Lacock National Trust village, an unspoilt village on the edge of the Cotswolds that is featured in many films like Harry Potter or Downtown Abbey. You will have supper at an old coaching Inn, a place visited by Charles Dickens on his travels between Bath and London before heading back to Bath arriving between 22:00 and 23:00 hrs.
