This guided tour will take you to the iconic university city of Oxford and some of the most picturesque Cotswold villages.
Oxford is famous worldwide, for the University of Oxford which is in the heart of the city. It is known as the city of spires but also for its historical architecture, museums, and ancient history. Additionally, it has some of the most amazing medieval architectural masterpieces in the whole of the UK. It is the only city in the UK that has a delicate combination of modernity with the atmosphere of an English village town. The journey to Oxford will take you through the Chiltern Hills – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The afternoon will be spent touring the beautiful villages of the Cotswolds, you will visit Bampton, where many iconic scenes from Downton Abbey were filmed. The village of Burford is the next stop, this is a small market town with enormous character and long history. The last village to be visited is Bibury, described as the prettiest village in England and the place that Henry T Ford wished to dismantle and ship back to the USA. Return to London in the early evening.
