The day begins from the centre of Aix-en-Provence with a short drive to Cassis, followed by a walking tour through the streets of this charming harbour village. You will have the choice between free time on the beach of Cassis or an optional short cruise to see the Calanques and enjoy impressive views of these UNESCO listed cliffs and turquoise waters. After some time for lunch on your own, your guide will drive you to Marseille, the second-largest city in France. On the way, you will stop at the Old Port, then walk up to the Basilica of Notre Dame de la Garde along a lovely path and visit the Basilica. Finally, you will have some free time to continue exploring the city and stroll through the old town of Le Panier, explore Fort Saint-Jean, La Major Cathedral and more if time allows.
